JANA, Inc. Adds Well-respected Avionics Systems Integration Engineering Group to its Group of Companies
Founded in 1987, ASM is a leader in innovative and trustworthy engineering designs. The company specializes in assemblies and wiring harnesses that support commercial and business aircraft. In fact, with a portfolio of over 100 FAA-approved STCs and proven certification solutions, ASM’s engineering designs and manufactured hardware are used on more than 50 aircraft platforms worldwide.
ASM will now operate as a wholly owned JANA subsidiary. Importantly, it will continue performing all engineering, certification, and manufacturing operations at its Georgetown, TX, facility. As a result, JANA and ASM can continue delivering the high-quality services that ASM’s customers have relied on for nearly three decades.
Ean Niland, Vice President of JANA, shared his thoughts:
“The engineers at ASM have established a tremendous reputation in the avionics integration industry. Over three decades in business, they have earned respect in this community and built a wealth of engineering and certification expertise. Therefore, adding a team with such industry presence complements JANA’s existing resources and positions both companies for continued growth.”
Dan Googins, President of ASM, added:
“JANA and ASM have admired each other for years. This segment of aviation is small and tight knit, so companies with a long history of quality and innovation stand out. For this reason, our partnership strengthens two proven leaders. We are delighted to join the JANA team.”
Terry Prentice, Director of Certification Programs for ASM, also sees the benefit in joining the two companies: “The addition of ASM to JANA provides new opportunities and additional capabilities that both companies have been actively pursuing for years. With this union that desired outcome has now become a reality. We look forward to providing the aviation community with the excellence that our combined resources bring.”
